We have at least 10 scheduled social events during the year. Our 4th of July picnic often exceeds a turnout of over 300 members, family and guests. Spontaneous parties pop up regularly. Commissioning Day Ceremonies are complete in the Naval tradition, right down to the blast of a cannon. Early in the season, our cruising committee organizes a 'Shakedown Cruise' to a facility in the tri-state area. We usually brig our flotilla of inexperienced new members, experienced boaters and tenured members to make everyone comfortable maneuvering the waters and getting the kinks out of there boats. It's a great bonding weekend dining out together, having a few libations and more laughs than you can imagine!
